| Abstract: | Production of green hydrogen remains a more expensive procedure compared to fossil hydrogen production. The report examines a method for reducing hydrogen production costs by using multiple electrolyzers with an optimized startup sequence. Special attention is given to the use of a genetic algorithm to determine a startup sequence that minimizes the costs associated with mitigating fluctuations in a renewable energy source. |
