У статті розглянуто основні недоліки української ментальності відповідно до загальносвітових морально-етичних норм і, зокрема, європейських . Представлено теоретичні відомості для кращого розуміння проблеми. Визначено план для покращення ситуації в країні. Зроблено висновок, що при певній мотивації зі сторони активістів і зацікавленості з боку громадян українці в силі змінити власну ментальність на кращу.

Like any social phenomenon, mentalities are historically variable, but changes are slow. The purpose of the article was to systematize the information received, personal suggestions and adapt the world experience to Ukrainian realities for further use in everyday life, to correct the deficiencies of the mentality of Ukrainian citizens. This will increase the level of education, national and cultural awareness. The mentality is formed on the basis of many factors. They can be both internal and external, natural and social. A very important role is played by nature around people, its resources, climate, terrain, soil fertility, diversity of flora and fauna, the presence of near water bodies and water quality. This is how traditions, rituals, everyday affairs, even religious dogmas are formed, and most importantly - it really affects the mentality. The implementation of the above steps in the daily life of Ukrainians will help to raise the cultural, spiritual, educational level of citizens, national consciousness, make the ideas and unity of people unity, which will necessarily affect the standard of living, common and inalienable. Therefore, it is possible to achieve everything, it is important to act in a complex manner and consistently, without shocking the population with too dramatic changes in daily life.
