Некоторые особенности преддиапаузного периода у ложноосновательниц Adelges tardus Dreyf. (Homoptera: Adelgidae)

Abstract

A prediapause period of the pseudofundatrices of Adelges tardus was investigated. It was found that it contains three stages and continues about two months, from September to the end of October. During a prediapause period, the pseudofundatrices change their location on the host plant. At first, they temporarily settle on needles. Then they leave needles, settle on buds, and found feeding place into theirs. After that, the pseudofundatrices go into diapause. During prediapause period, it is getting over dissention between life cycle of Adelges tardus and seasonal development of spruce-tree. Probably, the change of location of the pseudofundatrices on the host plant is controlled by biochemical conditions of needles. Results presented can be used for integrated adelgid control program.
