| Abstract: | Taxonomic composition, occurence rate and numerical relation between different groups of insects in excrements of Merops apiaster L. collected in а colony of 21 couples of birds in the village of Bezopasnoye of the Stavropol Territory have been investigated. The total of over а thousand and а half of insects that belong to 10 orders and to more than 43 families were found. New original data on ecology of nutrition and practical implication of the bird have been obtained. |
