| Abstract: | The Kharkov forest-park zone surrounded by dwelling houses has been inspected. As a result of considerable changes in floristical composition of the forest bottom level, and fauna of mammals and birds, caused by anthropogenic influence, change of basic hosts of Ixodes ricinus occurs and this change influences the character of their distribution in this territory and their numbers. Main causes which can lead 10 reducing numbers of ticks are as follows: in the depth of the forest - low numbers of hosts of adults, оп the forestsides - worse conditions о! existence for both ticks and small mammals as hosts for nymphs and larvae. |
