Abstract: Обґрунтовано нову методику розрахунку економічного ефекту від упровадження елеватора з установленими на ньому ковшами з рухомими днищами напівкруглої форми для перевантаження сипких матеріалів. Високу ефективність роботи такої конструкції обґрунтовано теоретично та підтверджено практично.
Ukraine is one of the leading producers of agricultural products in the world; it allows ensuring both the needs of the domestic market, and successful food and agricultural raw materials exporting. It is known that the lowest level of mechanization and extensive use of manual labor during the production is typical for handling and storage-retrieval operations. The investigation of the causes, influencing the drop in elevator plants productivity, allows establishing the need to elaborate more perfect designs of their buckets. It is noted that the elevator with series production (O) buckets has a number of drawbacks; they are adhering material in the profound part of the elevator buckets (it causes lowing of the coefficient of filling the elevator buckets), the effect of return movement of the material in the ascending branch of the elevator, additional noise and dusting during operation of the elevator, a large number of contact with moving parts of the machine with material which turns into dust, reducing of the transported material quality because of it multiple buckets shoveling. It causes low production safety and productivity of this elevator and the electricity overrun. That is why this paper devoted to the issues of productivity increasing and efficiency of the inclined bucket elevator with semicircular-shaped buckets is very topical. The proposed in the research paper bucket design with the movable element in the form of semicircule-shaped bottom (SS) (Pat. 10729 A, Ukraine), in combination with the selected elevator parameters allows improving the quality of material discharging from the bucket, and thus it will reduce electricity overrun, improve the quality of the transported material and working conditions of staff. The new method of calculating of economic effect from the introduction of the elevator with movable semicircule-shaped bottom buckets for friable materials handling is presented in the research paper. The final part of the paper concludes that economic effect is achieved by increasing productivity of the inclined bucket elevator with movable semicirculeshaped bottom buckets; reducing fleet of used vehicles (it causes the saving of capital investments for the purchase of vehicles; reducing of depreciation costs, materials for operation, line maintenance and repairs, wages and charges on staff salaries, which service vehicles) and saving machine-hours of elevator operation with buckets of the proposed design.
