The effect of UHF impulse irradiation on eggs of Chinese silkworm has been shown to depend both on the genotype of the object and on the exposition time. Also, expression of various characters was either inhibited or enhanced depending on the exposition time. In the second generation, no adverse effect of UHF irradiation have been detected, while, in line Ukr-27, post-exposure improvement of cocoon properties subsisted in the second generation. The experimental data obtained provide a new evidence on the complex effect of electromagnetic waves on biological objects and, in particular, on the phenomenon of prolonged modification.-
