| Abstract: | Field work in the riverside winter wheat fields surrounding the Kremenchug Lake showed 34 entomophagous species of Carabidae from 17 genera. Four prevalent species have been identified withpopulation percentages as follows: Poecilus sericeus(25.4%), P. cupreus(19.4%), P. punctulatus(10.8%), and Pseudoophonus rufipes (13.8%). Seasonal population dynamics has been studied for these species. It is argued that this population dynamics should be considered in integrated pest management strategies. |
