| Abstract: | Raising the effectiveness of breeding process in sericulture is connected with searching new approaches to solution of the problem. Breeding of pathogenetical clones with a high silk ratio as components of industrial clone - race hybrids may be one of the approaches. The Ukrainian 27 clone x Ukrainian 12 clone - race hybrid was created as a result of breeding efforts. It is characterized by a caterpillar viability of 93,6%, a cocoon yielf per 1 g of caterpillars of 5.4 kg, uninterruptively reelable thread length of 1453 m. |
