| Abstract: | The morphology of some sclerites (sternite, tergite, claspets and phallosome) of male genitals of 15 species of the Aedes genus of five subgenera is given. The new subgenus - Rusticoidus is distinguished and the species Aedes refiki is included into it. A brief characteristic of the sclerite morphology for all subspecies of the Aedes genus is given and their taxonomic position in the genus is determined. |
