| Abstract: | For creation of high-viability initial material we suggested the using of selection according to the index of general viability of mulberry silkworm which was introduced by A. Z. Zlotin, аnd N. P. Chepurnaya (1994) for control of the selective material quality. The selection was conducted in ‘plus’ аnd ‘minus’ directions (for аn increase аnd drop in the viability level). The results obtained in batches of the 'minus’ direction of choice agree well with the theory of forming а compensatory complex of genes proposed by V. А. Strunnikov (1987), аз one of the possible directions of increasing stability of mulberry silkworm. |
