Production of crop products in Ukraine traditionally belongs to the strategic areas of development not only of agriculture but also of the entire economic complex of the country. The article identifies the state of production and development of the grain market as one of the priority sectors of crop production, namely grain production. The analysis of the tendencies of the production of grain crops in Ukraine is carried out. Identify the conditions and main obstacles to the development of the grain market. Important competitive advantages and key factors influencing the modern grain market are identified. Existing modern globalization processes require Ukraine to enter the international trade system as soon as possible, in particular through membership in the World Trade Organization and accession to the European Union. Integration processes are areas of realization of Ukraine's economic interests, the possibility of capturing foreign markets by using the potential of its agricultural sector and competitive advantages. In the context of this process, the question of further development of the domestic grain economy in the system of the world grain market also arises. Grain production in Ukraine has not only important socio-economic but also political significance for the development of the national economy, ensuring food security of the state. The question of the formation and functioning of the grain market is relevant, because any country can not exist in isolation from the external environment, and therefore it is necessary to constantly explore the factors that directly or indirectly affect the current state and development of grain in the future.
