Preparation and implementation of national reference standards for influenza virus subtypes H5 and H7

Abstract

Systematic epizootic monitoring in wild animal populations is a key link in the early warning system and the organization of preventive measures against the spread of avian influenza. Haemagglutination inhibition test (HIT) is a gold standard of differential diagnostics. In order to implement this gold standard it is necessary to continuously improve the technology of manufacturing and control of the relevant test systems, and most importantly, to renew current epizootic strains in order to obtain highly specific and active components. Ключовою ланкою системи раннього попередження та організації запобіжних заходів проти поширення пташиного грипу є систематичний епізоотичний моніторинг у популяції диких тварин. "Золотий стандарт" диференціальної діагностики – реакція затримки гемаглютинації (РЗГА). Для реалізації цього "золотого стандарту" необхідно постійно вдосконалювати технологію виготовлення та контролю відповідних тест-систем, а головне - поновлювати актуальні епізоотичні штами для отримання високоспецифічних та активних компонентів.
